Where did we start? Where are we now? Where are we going?
It is time to be Active and to Believe in your abilities in this European landscape. From A to B contest is about YOU – your world and your decisions! Where do you come from and where are you going, and why? What moves you? What wide changes and developments are moving around you? What about your friends and family? How are they moving? A and B are variables, and it's up to the young journalists to fill them in with life.
How we move from A to B tells a European story, the story of people who are in constant motion around the continent for reasons of love, travel, work, or study. Today, staying on the move in Europe is the way of life, and the way to reaching success is as simple as making your way from A to B.
Thus, European Alternatives and Youth Press Italia, in collaboration with Youthmedia and European Youth Press, are holding the “From A to B” contest, with the contest topic this year being “Mobility in Europe.”
For the contest, you will be able to weave your story about anything mobilizing you between yours points A and B: a story on love, travel, work, study, or anything you consider connected to Europe’s mobility, development, and horizons.
Submissions can be in 3 categories: Text, Photo, or Video/Audio. Any youth media enthusiast aged 18-35 from a country in geographical Europe can participate, producing content in English or any language of countries in the Council of Europe.
The contest is part of TransEuropa Festival, organized by European Alternatives that will take place in London, Paris, Cluj and Bologna between the end of April and beginning of May. The topic of the program in Bologna is going to be on mobility, therefore the contest winner will be awarded by winning a trip to this thematically relevant event.
The deadline for submissions is 20 April 2010, so get moving!
